Barça Set to Play Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Stadium Testing
Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
