The families of teens missing after a deadly blaze at a bar in a Switzerland's ski resort are enduring an excruciating wait for official news and appealing for any details about their loved ones via social media.

The blaze ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of January 1st. Circulated images depict the ceiling being engulfed in flames as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have indicated that it could take considerable time to formally name the those who perished of the fire, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another scores more. A spokesperson said on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to name the other six.

In the waiting period, relatives have been using online platforms to appeal for any news about their friends who were in attendance that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing

"A companion told me they ran away after the fire broke out and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive piece of jewelry.

One of his teachers commented, "He was known for his good nature and positive demeanor, alongside great responsibility. Often ask if get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives full-time in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to media.

Her sibling has shared an urgent request online, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also unaccounted for.
